intermittant air con

hi all,

my air con is usually fine, until recently it worked all the time, now it seems to cut out when its really hot and air con is really needed!

you can still here pump cutting in but it doesn't blow cold air????

any ideas on what i can check?

Sounds like it needs a top up.

You can either get it done professionally (try Kwik Fit) or you could try the top up kits from Halfrauds. I've used one on mine a couple of times and also on my wife's Corsa and it seems to do the job. Only about £40 for the gas bottle and pressure guage/connector. You do need to have the system running to check it though and for some cars getting the adaptor on the L valve can be a bit tight, but the Surf should be fine.
