Rear Window Not Working From Key

Hi,
I Have Just Bought A 1994 Surf And The Tailgate Was Swopped For Another.
All Is Ok But The Rear Window Doesn't Work From The Key.
Any Ideas??

Does it work on the switch inside?

If it does, check the connections inside the tailgate, also check the switch is actually on the keyswitch (mine fell off as one of the plastic legs snapped)

Yes It Works Off Switch Inside Car Fine.

Does it work at all off the key or is it just one way that doesn't work?

It's either the key switch isn't working properly (corroded contacts possibly), or there is a break in the wire between the key switch and the relay box.

Either one is pretty easy to diagnose if you have a multi-meter.

the window goes up from key not down, so i am guessing a fault with the switch??
is there a wiring diagram for this??
