  • 3rd Gen Remote locking

When you press the lock button, you hear the door solenoids click and (oviously) the doors lock. If you press it a second time, you hear the solenoids again and the horn beeps once. Do all 3rd Gens do this? As far as I know there's no alarm on it. Does anyone have an english handbook for a 3rd gen?

Maybe the beep just means "It was locked anyway, tw@t"?

at a guess it's the same as what manufacturers are now calling an audible locator or something along them lines, apparently it's to help you find your car with your hands full in a busy car park, like duh, surprisingly the cars still where you left it.

Mine didn't work when I got the car. I just opened the key up, cleaned all of the crap out and hey presto!

My 2nd Gen does the same.
Smack it with a 16lb Hammer and it will come off!
