    Just fitted this light kit

and all appears to be working great apart from I have lost my high beam indication on the dash board. Any ideas why?

Standard lights are switched negative, your HIDs are switched live. You lose the indication when you do the mod.

Look at 4crawlers site, his loom is switched live with a wee box thing to fix the indication. He supplies the diagrams so you may find a way of making something up to fix the indication.

You will have all the indication you need, by the abuse others coming towards you give, when you blind them.

Temporary fix put a bulb in the light fitting that you didn't wire the HiD to. (really must get round to working out a proper way of doing it).

I did consider this but I would rather make up a small PCB

Now going in search of the lighting circuits

This really shouldn't be hard. Just take the relay feed from the high beam switch and use that to light your wee bulb.

                    Hey Langtounboy,

I've been looking at these kits for a few weeks now for my Gen 3 (trying to find a way to justify the expense the the Mrs!). Be good to know your opinion on the quality of the components, and how much difference the lights actually make.

                    Cheers

I think it was one of the best mods I've done.

                        Hey Maverick,

that looks great, what an amazing difference! The original bulb looks like a candle in comparison! I've got a birthday coming up, so i'll do a "watch this item" on the Mrs' ebay account and hopefully she'll get the hint.
