  • Non working brake lights

    Hi all,

My brake lights have just suddenly stopped working. Have checked fuse in footwell on drivers side panel, and this is ok ( have changed it for a new one anyway).

Lights are still not working, so can anyone let me know the location of any relays / switches that are in that electrical path that I need to check or are there any other problems I should look at on this circuit?

Don't think it's the bulbs, as they are of the twin filament type, and normal rear lights are ok.

    Many thanks in advance

    hi matey

it might be the switch, or the wiring to it, at the foot pedal (where on most cars the circuit is made to cause the lights to function). Usually the switch is spring-loaded at the top of the pedal arm.

Check the bulbs, it's quite normal for only one filament to blow in a twin filament bulb.
