You could begin with a search of the forums, some time back a user posted pics of a very neat PC installation in a Surf.

Where else to start? Well it depends on at you are looking for, your post doesn't give us any clues.
Are you looking for parts suppliers? Info on frontend or other software, construction details, power supplies, start-up and shut-down controllers.... info on most of this type of stuff can be found at mp3car.com

You can get a touchscreen Laptop from John Lewis for £650, it has a 12.1 inch screen, and not to shabby either.
