going to do a bit of welding in the engine bay what electrical conectors do i have to disconect before i can start i know i should disconect the battorys is there anything else

Disconnect all the battery cables, better still, take the batteries out.

I thought Alternators suffered when Welding

They do Marky , but the batteries give off gas which will explode , I know , I've been there !

So its BATTERIES & ALTERNATOR to disconnect then

Anything electrical/electronic can suffer when you're welding Marky. Can't disconnect everything though, and the batteries are the only things which are literally liable to explode on you. Just the batteries is usual.
