  • water temp/sensor switch

Hi everyone, I use to be on the old surf website but for some reason this one would not accept my username and password :-( anyways up I am here now and here is my problem. When I turn the ignition key on first thing in the morning or even halfway through the day when the engine is cold, an electric fan cuts in and runs eraticly, can you tell me where the sensor would be for this so I can either replace it or fit a manual switch in its place

    regards Simon

Yep sorry, when we moved to the new forum software we couldn't transfer over the user names.

Because of the fan has a bit of a history for not being reliable I`ve fitted a swith on the dash so that I can manually turn the fan on e.g stuck in traffic. I don`t worry anymore about whether the fans going to cut in or not if the old girl gets a bit hot, especially after having gone through the head problems associated with the 2.4.

        Regards
