whilst rumaging in the scrappy for exhaust parts i came across a caddy with air suspension i am now the owner of a dinky little compressor it had been plumbed into an air reciever with about 4 pipes coming out.. the unit pumps well but on the top are 2 terminals on the motor 1 would the two on top be some kind of pressure switch ? also bolted on the reciever is an old wolf wistle.... remember them guys?

Oooh, you luck ba****d. I saw an article about using the caddy air compressor for on board air in a 4 Runner, think it was posted as a link on Yotatech. I would reckon that the terminals are a pressure switch of some kind but I'll see if I can find the link.

Could also be used for powering some Air Lockers.

    Cheers

I Would Almost Certainly Say They Are Pressure Switch Terminal Either Normally Closed Or Normally Open

The contacts on top are the electronic blead off valve that allows the car to lower itself or compensate for over pressure. You should only end up needing that as a safety device for onboard air.

Would the Caddy suspension units fit the Surf? Could be the answer to those of us that have to garage them or get 'em nicked by the local scrotes. Drop suspension 2-3" and reverse in. I have enough trouble remembering to lower the aerial without having to remember to lower the truck!!
