  • 1985 2.4d hilux electrics!!!!

i am adding to my previous post (dip/main relay at fault)
alternator, t-belt and filter light are still on !!
i have 13v on tickover and 16 v on fast idle and 14-16v with lights and heater on
    replaced 1 of the batts
replaced voltage regulator (was thinking this may cure the lack of regulated volts) this is the external type.

ihave noticed that if i rev the arse off it, then the new regulator makes a buzzing noise and the dash lights nearly go out as the revs come down, but then they come back on.

ANY HELP FROM YOU GUYS? i am getting fedup with this now

In my opinion you are overcharging . Max voltage you want is about 14.8v . On idle I would expect you to charge at 12.3v min .
It could be your new regulator is not earthed properly or a wire is off/broken in the loom to the alternator . The alternator is obviously charging but not controlled properly . I do not have a wirring diagram for your vehicle . But I would check each wire for condinuity and damage .
