Please help, recently I had a mechanic repair the alternator in my 1992 ssrx. After the job was completed, I am having problems with my instrument panel. Only the seatbelt and the handbrake lights show up and while the glow plug indicator lights up the beep is no longer there. Any ideas????

I cant help you with your problem, Im not one of the forums clever people, however maybe you can help me. Id like to get in touch with an old Trinidadian workmate. I know its a big place but Ive had a go and theres no on line phonebooks for T&T I can look up.
His names is Martin Wyatt. His Stepmother is Diana Mahabir Wyatt who I understand is or was an MP in T&T and a bit of a womans rights activist. She must be pretty well kmown in any case even though he will not be.
Hed be in his early to mid 40s. Used to work in the oil industry posibly still does.
Dont sweat it but if you succeed Id be most grateful and a bit amazed.

Other than suggesting the basics to check, I've honestly no idea, but run through this list and see if anything is awry.
1) Is the alternator outputting between 13V and 15V (max) when the engine is running?
2) Are the batteries okay?
3) Have you checked and made sure all your grounding straps between bodywork/engine and batteries have good connections?
4) Are your battery clamps on tight and secure, and are the connections clean?
5) Are all your fuses okay, both in the engine bay and behind the driver side kick panel?Comment
