Evening all, I've been a busy boy this afternoon. I finally got my remote central locking thing sorted this afternoon, after much tearing out of hair!
I ripped it out and tested all the wiring after it wouldn't work first time, turned out it was just a loose connection in between the 10 prong loom and the box
. It was a bit of a pain in the arse but now it seems to work, even though only one of the fobs works. It seems that whichever one I programme last of the two is the one that works, but I'm happy it's sorted.
I also put in a differet stereo, when I was at Halfrauds buying the relays I thought 'sod it' and bought a cheapy JVC stereo
and plastic pocket thingy. That went in fine but it wasn't the easiest thing in the world to get the fascia and the dash to line up properly.
I've also put some rather blinging red LED lights under the car (I've had them lying around for years, they were bought as a bit of a joke present years ago!) and also a load of white LED lights in the engine bay so that if I get stuck in the dark then I can turn them on and see what's going on! Came in quite useful as with all the fannying around with electrickery I managed to drain the battery almost flat. Ooops!
Got it started and now I'm all ready to go. Just need to do a 5" lift next.
