  • Ignition coil voltages

Im working on a California regd Surf. It has a 4cyl petrol engine, I dont know the correct designation but the truck is about 1990 vintage.

The truck wont start, there is no spark. Previous engineer fitted a new coil, to no avail. I diagnosed the sealed "electronics" pack bolted to the coil (mounted on the left front inner wing) is not receiving/emmiting correct voltages. There are 5 wires going in but only one shows 12 volts.

Does anyone have such info on the voltages or resistances? Or does anyone have such a coil/ignition set up that they could take some readings from and pass them to me?

    Thanks in advance.

    If its a US 4 cylinder truck, it'll probbaly be a 22RE 2.4lt motor. Must be a 4Runner though surely? (but dosn't matter )

    Have a look here....
