Heating control backlight bulbs

Anyone changed the bulb that backlights the heater controls on a series II ?
Even the one which still works is not very bright - anyone modified these?
any advice greatly appreciated

Yup
There are 2 of them and are a real pig to get at. They are just bulbs with wires sticking out that fit in a holder with a green plastic cap over. The only place I could get them from was Maplin (part No. WQ13P) & I re-used the plastic caps
