starting a surf without an ignition barrell

Hi All,

I have a 92 2.4 Surf thats in peices but apparently has a good engine, the trouble is someone has attacked the ignition barrel and broken it, so now all i have is the backplate the wires attach to. Does anyone know how i can start the engine and get it ticking over without fitting a new barrell?

erm.. sort of, yes, but i'm not going to post on a public forum. i would need to go look and check wiring colours etc. before i could give instructions.

Has it got an immobiliser? If so i take it you got the touchkey or whatever for this.

It did have an immobiliser, but i spent all day yesterday stripping it out. So it's back to stock wiring now.

I haven't had a chance to get behind the dash and have a look today, but should get to it tomorrow, i gotta do some work on the truck tomorrow anyway so shouldn't be too much hassle.
