I hang my head in shame.

Ok, so when I get to 50 Mph doesnt even come into it.

I think Ive only ever driven at 50 with the lights on, clearly it actually lights up with the main beam on, oh, and suprise suprise, the fog light comes on when this switch is on.

And the MOT guy said the bulb in the fog light had blown, and I should change it.

Do I feel like I loser or what, I can never, ever, tell my kids this. This is so embaressing.

Please accept my sincere thanks everyone for solving such a simple thing, and answering the "Mystery Switch" dilema, which is, a dilema no more.

Im so glad I diddnt ask people who know me!.

Ah, now, if the LED comes on at around 50mph then it's the flux capacitor pre-heat indicator switch. Take the truck up to 88mph and see if you notice a lot of flashing/strobing lights and two long lines of fire behind you on the road,.

Definitely the rear fog on mine. If wired correctly should only work when the lights are switched on. Try it with lights on.

you may still have the wiring for the front fogs/spots tucked in behind the front grill if you ain't got any on the front

Yup, yup, My Avensis had a better user manual to read whilst on the lavvy. The one that came with this beast has drawings that would look well placed in a 1980's video camera manual (You know the type, people with oversized eyes doing daft things like trapping their hands in the bonnet, and letting kids stand on the bench seat etc)

Often I wonder why I bother, then I scream past some kid in a Corsa who thinks they have more meat under the hood.

God its good to be alive, and old enough to get cheap insurance on a big engine!

I prefer to have mine available all the time. Between those and the reversing
spots, you really can convince that nob behind you to keep away.

Ok OK, stop beating up the Newbie.

My internal trans vestite gender changer switch is mounted on the roof next to the integral flux rear wiping device for accidental discharge.
