  • where is ecu?, how do i remove the cover?

I'm being very specific here, i need to identify the ecu and know which mounting screws etc to remove to get the cover off. A pic or diagram would be very helpfull.

    regards

Not specific enough to mention what truck it is.....

On most trucks its behind the passenger kick panel, the lid is only 4 screws, its no trouble.

when you say kick panel, do you mean the panel at the left side, which has a box inside called 4wd controler

or is it the big box straight down the footwell

        regards

Not sure about the 3rd gen, the older trucks deffo by where the passenger left foot is, against the side of the truck. They normally say ECU or Emission control computer.

But if you've been there it must be somewhere else, have you looked on the drivers side.
