    Hya

I am fitting a satnav that requires a connection to the speed sensor in the ecu. I found the thread locating the correct colour of wire and describing its location BUT

Im not that mechanical and need help in how to safely remove the ecu cover. Cant get a workshop manual anywhere in uk.

can anyone help even with a copy of the relevant page out a manual?

regards from (Not so) sunny Scotland

Maybe easier to pick up speed pulse from behind speedo head

not sure the speedo has one

not sure it has one, looks mechanical
im just a bit worried about starting to unbolt stuff around the ecu in case i mess it up, a photo with the screws marked would do

there's a few threads on it somewhere...

try a search for speed pulse, or variations on that... people have done it...

            found all the links already

I know the wire to tap into no problem, what im having difficulty with is much more basic than that

a- identifying the ECU unit (I think i have it but im not 100%)
b- Safely removing the plastic cover. (I need perhaps a pic showing which screws to remove)

Sorry to be really DUH but i have never seen an engine ecu in my life.

            regards
