  • 2nd gen speed bell

Has anyone still got their speed bell knocking about that they removed,
or have you all binned them? Plus, does anyone have a picture of where
and how they were connected to the dash? Only diagram found seems to
    have disappeared.

    Cheers.

There is a slight possibility mine is still at my old man's house, I'll have a look next time I'm there (over Christmas).

From what I recall, it was connected on to the back of the circuit board thing, directly behind the speedo with one wire going in and one out. (I hope you like my combination of technical jargon and surprises here). It was a little metal box about an inch long and half an inch high.

There is a little trigger mechanism on the speedo at 100kph - the needle pushes a lever up which completes the circuit for the bell and 'ding ding fcuking ding'. Mine used to jam at 100kph because the lever was sticking and stopped the speedo from moving past it.

That's buggered that idea up then. Was hoping it used some electrical
gimmickry. I guess yours used to annoy you somewhat then?
