boot light

i repaired the wires leading to my boot light the other day (under the boot floor) . they looked like they had been cut half way through but then i relised the wires had scotch locks removed from them. does any one no what had been conected there as i think i have seen a link re. cut wires

Sounds like someone has used the wires to power another light somewhere on the car when the doors are open. Probebly removed it when selling the motor.

We've spoken about cut wires before but that was to get the indicators flashing on factory UK 4Runner remote alarm systems.
