Electric mirrors

Hi
I have everything working on my truck now except one thing which is bugging me becasue it is stopping me having a full house.
The electric wing mirrors work in the side to side mode but not in the up/down mode. Strange thing is that it is both mirrors. Have had the armrest swith out to see if it is a bad connection/broken wire type thing but no obvious fault and cleaning contacts hasn't fixed it.
Any ideas?????

It's probably the motors in the mirror. Under the mirror casing there's a couple (i think) screws to remove the cover and access the motors. Maybe a squirt of WD40 in there together with some 'manual' operation will cure it.

If both mirrors have the same fault its more than likely to be the switch, maybe someone local could let you try their one, just to be sure. If you need a spare I have some used ones.

This happened with my mr2 this week , i took the switch apart cleaned it up and put it back on the car , all the mirrors work fine now . i'd try a new switch in there too matey .
