  • Warning light meaning

    I was wandering whether any of you out there know what the dash warning light on the dash AP/P means. Also the truck wont move into gear, guess it is something to do with the auto trans but not sure exactly what. can anyone help. thanks

    Hi Mike nice to see another Cornish surfer here.You have to put your foot on the brake to be able to put it into gear or press the little red button infront of the gear lever.Where abouts are you down here and also it will help if you put you truck details on your profile so we know what advice to give

      AT/P means that you have the Transfer lever in Neutral therfore no drive. Put it into H and then the vehicle should move OK when in gear.

        Hi, sorry didnt explain very well, the surf is the mother in laws. she lives near st columb major and she called this aft to tell me. Have just told her to check the transfer lever and hopefully it will sort it out. its quite difficult to guess when you are not actually by the truck. cheers mike

          The short transfer lever is sometimes easily knocked into neutral by thr drivers knee as they get in the truck, resulting in no drive!. It should be pulled back towards the seat during normal on the road driving. Auto lever needs to be in 'P' or 'N' first though.

            Hey Moke let ya mum in law there is a surf get together in a couple of weeks in Camborne Have a look at the run to the sun thread if your interested then you can get to meet a few of us and find out more about the truck
