  • Replacement indicator bulb...

    Hi all,

My NSF indicator bulb has decided to bite the bullet on my (KZN130) 3.0LTD.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement?

I have not done any modifications so it is simply the orange bulb I'm after.

The one I've taken out has the following written on it if it helps!:-

    KOITO 12V5W W5V E4 2AR JAPAN

Can I simply get a replacement at Halfords or somewhere similar?

    Thanks in advance
    Stu

      Indicator replacement...

      Hi Trev,

      Thanks for the speedy response.

I hope to get to work on this, this evening.

Do you have any hints or tips regarding the replacement of the bulb? - I've not had a chance to take a look at how easy it is to remove casing etc yet. I replaced the sidelight bulb the other day which was a simple removal of a couple of screws - I hope this is as simple as that!!

      Cheers once again

If we are talking of the side mounted indicator it just takes careful pressure forward (or back depending on which way it was fitted) and it should prize out - I now have a clear lense there with orange bulbs - I got the wrong design (it has a kind of silver cap to hide the bulb ) so cannot yet fit LEDS to those.

Just as simple, undo two screws, pull lense unit out and pull the bulb housing out from the back of it. Replace the bulb and put it all back together, you should have it done in less than a minute!

            Damian,

The side lenses (repeaters) don't even have screws they are a push fit

If it's the front bumper indicator, you can access the bulb holder from inside the wheelarch..

No need to use any tools at all...
                  It just does, OK?
