  • Mile-ometer /odometer

    Hi
I have just bought my first Surf, but noticed the speedo works but the mileometer does not, is it most likely to be a cable that is faulty or are there other likely causes? is a toyota dealer the best place to source a new cable?

    Thanks

    Mike

    Welcome to the nut house!

Don't know, but someone on here will.

At a rough guess, with 10 minutes, Vince (Bushwhacker) will have posted the part number and a link to an exploded diagram.

It might have been damaged when it was clocked mate! Only kidding.

Welcome to the forum Mike. AFAIK the speedo cable drives the speedo, Odometer and the tripometer.
      It's only a hobby!

        Only one cable m8.

Has the speedo face been changed to MPH as part of the SVA? if so the mech doing the work cud a messed the clocks up.

Or they could have been clocked and broken in the process.

        What vehicle do you have.
I used to have a surf me!

Hi yes you're right it is electronic fault must be in the speedo head itself as it all works off the same impulse, trip and odeometer may just be jamed so strip down carefully and have a look
If it aint broke dont fix it
