Alternator

Hi, does anyone know if the alternator from the later 2.4 LTE will fit the older 2.4 LT with all the same connections etc... Also will the stater motor fit.

Starter motor for sure
With the alternator it depends which end the vacum pump is. If they are both at the same end then go for it.
Best of luck with changing them..............they are both a s h i t to do.

As far as I know the alternator from a 2LTE will fit the 2LT but not without pain in the ass modification of the mounting brackets as the drive pulleys will not line up. My advice is not worth the trouble, try and get the older one with the vac. pump at rear of unit.

i'd say get the old unit reconditioned, that what i done coz nobody knew where i could get one, but that was before i found this haven, i'm sure someone on here will know where to get one, pop an add in the wanted section.

think mine cost about £80 reconditioned, but i'm not positive as it all ran in with other bills from my old mechanic who hid it among the taxi receipts...naughty me!
