    I have just purchased new rad/cass,4x50w any suggestions on what type of speakers to fit without cutting holes in the door panels.

      Yes there are speakers i think about 6 of which 1 front and 2 rear have blown duds

        take the speakers into the shop and ask for a direct replacement.
        they should be a standard size (5 or 6 inch?) and will screw straight in.

        go for a decent make, infinity, alpine, some sony, cheap speakers are crap, don't buy them don the sunday market! go for a mid priced set from a good manufacturer.

            You'd be better off going to a specialist, they don't just do the big stuff.

            You want a "universal" or "full range" speaker to give you an all round sound quality.

            As Dabig' says the best way is to take in the old ones so that you can get a replacement that fits in the hole exactly.
