Cant get any joy from the roof light, fuse appears to be in one piece
in its place beneath bonnet,
but at the light fitting, there is no power,


why might this be ?

My thoughts entirely,
I wondered if the ones above the mirror,
somehow worked independently with the front doors,

and rear doors/dome. but no.

Never noticed since owning car whether it'd ever worked either

Does the ignition barrel light illuminate when you open the door, this would mean that the door switch is OK and the problem lies somewhere in the courtesy light electrics.

No the key light appear to work ok, together with front mounted lights by mirror

but the dome light stays resolutely off

Cant imagine, what might have happened to the power between fuse box and lamp unit but apparently something has

I assume you've checked the fuses down by the throttle pedal?

Have to ask,

Just eliminating the stupid, is the bulb working ok ?
