help with electric ariel

thing is stopped going up or down.

not to bothered about that, just want to stop the motor running when i turn radio on or off.

i thought it would just be a case of disconnecting the electric ariel cable from the back of the radio, but, when i do that the rear speaker stop working which is a nightmare because the front ones are pants.

any help would be great.

undo the the cover in the wheel arch and there is a connector up in there that should do it

Have a look up under dash on drivers side for a reddish brown box. This is the aerial relay. Unplug this and the aerial will be disabled.

As I am still new to this stuff I posted a list of niggly problems (including aerial) I got an excellent replacement apparently it came from Roughtrax an excellent site! The garage came good and fixed it 'under warranty'Just be careful when you leave stuff dis-connected we did it ,damp got in the socket and caused us some grief.
