  • Amp and Volt Gauges

Hi, Any advice on wireing an ampmeter and voltmeter gauges in a surf would
be greatly appreciated, ie what gauge cable for the ampmeter and where
connections should be made, Having Two batterys is throwing me a bit, I put
one in my serria which worked fine for about four years and then shortly after
i gave the car to a friend (bought the surf) the ampmeter loom went up in
smoke, I managed to repair it for him and its still running (without the ampmeter) so im a bit concerned about wireing one in the surf, Any help/advice greatfully received,
By the way Maurice (if you read this) I finished the dash leds and very pleased with them, However for some reason i cant post picture attachments,
any more, Not even pics ive posted before, Dont know whats going on, Ian

Have a look here for info on wiring the meters, its fairly straightforward, although you'll note the disclaimer at the bottom of the page is rather pertinent

As regards the pics, I see its being looked into, look forward to seeing the results of your toil

Ampmeters are more suitable for dynamo vehicles as the way the vehicle charging system works . Battery condition(volt meters) are the best for alternator vehicles and very easy to fit .
