Brake light always on??

When i take the hand brake off the dash light slightly dims instead of going off. This wasnt like it when i bought her and has only started happening. Does this mean something needs changing?? Also anyone got a spare surf ashtray for sale?

Take off the brake fluid reservoir cap and check the float switch is not sticking. While your there, check brake fluid level. Also check your brake pads haven't worn down causing a drop in fluid level.
