stereo fitting - arial ??

got my stereo in my surf, fitted using a wiring loom convertor, easy peasy ! but the arial socket does not fit in the hole?

do i need an adaptor of some sort as they appear to be different sizes?

Do you mean the aerial plug won't fit into the back of the radio?
You can get adaptors from anywhere that sells car audio.
