Mistery plugs

While I was fitting my new wiring harness for the headlights I removed the batteries and came across this plug/socket wth a similar one at the other side anyone got any Idea what they are for?

Doubt it really as I already have spotlights connected to the original wiring and they're working ok.
Would have cleaned it but only going to get muddy again on the 15th
