  • main head light bulbs

    hi guys,

ok i know this sounds silly but how the hell do you change the front head light bulbs on a kzn130 (series 2)!!!!.

had a look and its either take the battery and window screen washers bottle out to get one side in or take the front grill off and the lights!!!! any ideas, surly it got to be simpler.

    cheers

Sadly, its not a simple task. you must move the battery back and remove the washer bottle. Bottle has long electric and water connections so you do not have to disconnect them.

Did mine a few weeks bak.

Or as you say you can remove the side lights, grill and then headlights which is what I did when I did it - not sure it's easier or quicker than the battery/bottle method tho, I would prob go for that option if I had to do it again.

Have done it both ways. The first time from the front to change the bulbs. then from the back to put in the rockcrawler upgraded lighting loom.

I think its about the same, but the back way has less risk of breaking something. the 8 or so radiator grill clips tend to be stuck and I broke 2.

Its easier than it looks, you do not need to disconnect hte batteries, just undo hte clamps and get them back half an inch.

          Bulbs

          I did mine yesterday,
Only do one at a time so only one battery is ever disconnected, whole job took no more than half an hour. The hardest part is lifting the batteries up and out of teh engine bay.

          Good luck
