relay clicks when brake pedal pressed

Hi,
did 526 KM's today (wolverhampton, and a bit of birmingham and back)

On way back the truck starterd to "click" This is a relay that is switching when the brake is pressed. It stopped around Burnley and stayed away until I got back to Ilkley when it came back again!!!!!!!!!!! I seem to have both brake lights working. Any ideas folks

I know mine clicks to 'unlock' the gear lever. Is it the same 'click'??

mine does not normally click dunno what the reason is but I can get mine out of gear without pressing the break!!!!!

It is clicking now intermittently as I drive it wwhen gear lever is in D!

I bet this is something to do with it. Thanx for the response. anyone come back with more on this gear lock thing and the poss cause?

OK, a bit of a shot in the dark, but how about a dodgy brake light switch?

don't think so as the lights work just fine. I rtecon you were on the right lines with the gear release. I am gunna have to look at this first. Will post to let you kjnow what the problem is/was.
