extra headlights?

I've Just Been Given A Set Of Headlights Off A Caterham Which Are Basically Spot Light Bodies With Sealed Beams In Them.my Question Is Can I Run These As Well As My Headlights So I've Got 4 Dip Beams And 4 Main Beams.i Know How To Wire Them Up But Is It Legal?

It is my belief that extra main's are, but extra dips are not.

Perhops you oculd mount them with an enable switch on each (main and dip), so that you can keep you extra dips for 'off road use only'
