    funny you mention this

mine heater control back lights have always been dodgy.
meant to come on when headlights on, but often they wouldnt.
i found if i pulled the blower direction or any other control sharply both ways, they woudl come on!
now they dont come on at all, annoying when driving in dark and cant see the controls
    any ideas anyone?

There is a small multi- plug in the back of the heater control, perhaps this is loose as it doesn't 'lock into place, just a push fit.

cheers Bushwacker - will check it out
but may take me a while...

took me 3 hours to fit 4 new shocks last night... had to take angle grinder to back ones - as rusted at top nut, was a challenge to even angle grid the sods

You should be able to get them from any motorists shop, they're tiny glass bulbs with no base on them, just the glass bit. They just pull out, and push in.

Techy name is 'capless' bulb . My old girl needs a thump on dash to get heater illumination on . Same as an old Sierra I used to own .
