Lights for gear selection marks on tunnel

Hi,

Just purchased a 95 SSRG. I noticed the auto gear selection marks next to the shifter are not iluminated. Should they be?? if so could anyone give me some guidence on how to change bulbs ?? etc. Any help would be much appriciated...

Hi Andy.
Yes the gear positions should be illuminated, as well as the orange marker. To change the bulb (it's a tiny push fit glass bulb) you need to remove the centre consol, then lift up the gearstick surround and you should see the bulb plugged into a black plastic holder. You can get replacements from accessory shops and places like Halfords.

£1.15 from your nearest Toyota dealer, got one the other day. Always feel daft going in there, so far all i've had from them is this tiny bulb and a plastic nut cover for the winscreen wiper. But they should have worked for a Land Rover dealership if they wanted to get interesting big orders!
