Light on AUTO geat lever

The bulb is gone at the Auto gear stick on my 1996 SSRX. How do i get at it to replace? I tried lifting off the strip with P R N D etc but it feels like it's going to break.

2 bolts inside armrest cubby...

then slide that back

2 screws either side of centre section (the bit with gearstick on) and one on 4wd selector
then that whole section will slide back and lift up

that should give you access

only without the helpfull "refitting is the reverse of removal" statement that always helps!!!
