Yep, a quick search of the forum would reveal that this usually indicates an alternator problem. Could be anything from a flloded one, to poor connections on it to a sign its failing/failed.

First and simplest thing to do is check condition of all leads to alternator and batteries.

checked them they seem fine i thought that if the alternator was going or gone the battery light would stay on not everything every warning light is on only one to go out is the red light for the turbo and the ignition switch buzzer stays on it run sweet as a nut then this is there no way to check for a dogey alternator

Look at the volt meter when the truck's running. If the reading is low (12V ish) then the alternator probably isn't charging and there's your problem

I think it's the voltage regulator that plays up, causing all the warning lights to have a muck about.
My turbo timer is stuck to the back of the lower dash panel thats below the steering column.

p.s. The turbo light is the green one. the red light next to it is the engine 'check' light.

weres the voltage regulator would that make any difference to the voltage meter because when i rev my truck up the needle is hardly moving

The regulator is on the back end of the alternator. It could also be the alternator brushes that have worn down.
Have you a vehicle electrics specialist near you? maybe pay them a visit and have them check the outputs for you, before buying a replacement. They're £168+ vat from milners!

Also, to test if the alternator is giving any charge, Start engine and turn everything electrical, on then rev the engine and see if the voltage meter moves or if you headlights get brighter.

                      Hey, Heeeeeey,
DONT jus go out an buy another alternator,nooooooooooo....def inately NOT way to go...First, after checking all wiring connections to and from it, an battery connections an all Earths. Then if still prob, disconnect electrics for SAFETY and remove alternator. Then remove end cover, and this reveals brush holders (check brushes for wear -too much replace. Are they making good contact with commutator ? check for smoothness of their slide.) also check and clean if necessary the slip ring, then check rectifier and regulator... I suspect rectifier and slip ring or brushes.. check local auto electricians for any replacement parts...Only get a complete unit if your rollin in dosh...Gud Luk hope its easy fix..
