  • Rear window internal switch

Hello everyone, its been a long time since I've last visited the forum as the surf just keeps going and going, the most reliable car I've ever owned and I've owned a fair few.

But today without any warning the rear window refuses to go up or down using the internal switch, but works fine on the key, any ideas, is it a tailgate strip down or is it something simple.

Any answers regarding this problem would be much appreciated, Thanks.

check that you havent accidentally pressed the window lock button on the drivers arm rest/window switch consul thing!
i did it once..the relief when my missus pointed it out.

Bet you didn't dismantle half the tail gate first like some forum members have done!!

Nah, i was lucky..it was only a couple of minutes before the missus pointed it out...she does have her uses!!
I was quite surprised that she realised that i had pressed it in the first place...she doesnt know what half the switches do in the surf...i try not to let her drive it,she'd only scratch it in sainsburys!

Surfer daz, thanks a million, yes window lock button had accidentally been pressed to lock. I never thought of checking the other windows, thick or what, anyway the panic is over, thanks again, I'm sure I would of sussed it one day.
