putting leccy windows in my pickup

anyone have any experiance of fitting electric windows to the mk3 pickup? is it assimple as raiding breakers for a 3-dr surf and just swapping the mechanism?

doesnt seem to b anywiring for them..... difficult job?!?

all help greatly recieved as keep-fit windows are evil!

You can but universal electric window kits from Halfords, they're about £90.

its an option, but would prefer having genuine bits for it tho, hopefully would be easier/neater...?

Would probably be a better job allright, don't know if the aftermarket kits have improved in recent years, but around 10 years ago they were certainly not a patch on the o.e. stuff, tacky switches and slow motors etc. but still better than manual winders if you couldn't find original stuff.
