1 din is a standard size radio, 2 din is double. If you have a space above or below your radio, you can get 'pockets' for storage such as CDs in accessories shops.

        Pockets

Yes and the pockets although cosmetically nice are really useful you have to jam anything in or its all round your feet at the first bend or slight incline

Unless you get a piece of the 'sticky' rubber they sell to stop your spanners sliding about in your tool box - they sell it in machine mart.

Thats exactly what I have. Ihave seen on ebay that you can get a four CD holder with spring loaded drawers.

I originally had a Kenwood minidisc player and a seperate cd unit fitted, filling both slots. I still have it, but its a japaneze version with a band expander fitted.

My sony cd autochanger was not compatiable so i fitted a single din uk sony head head unit and a universal autoleads pocket from Halfrauds.

Will sell the Kenwood setup if anyone is interested. Let me know by email or private message and I will send photos etc.
