Rear window decided not to go down yesterday, but i could still hear the motor....so took the trim off today to reveal that it had come out of the metal runner with rubber insert....put the glass back in (after a few taps with rubber hammer)lol...sent it up and down once or twice..FINE..put trim back and yep..you guessed it off again...I tightened the 2 bolts that hold the runner onto the glass as tight as i could, but still came off...any ideas please!!!

I had a similar problem with my rear passenger window , it is important to keep all the frames well lubricated (sillicone spray)Originally posted by DaveRear window decided not to go down yesterday, but i could still hear the motor....so took the trim off today to reveal that it had come out of the metal runner with rubber insert....put the glass back in (after a few taps with rubber hammer)lol...sent it up and down once or twice..FINE..put trim back and yep..you guessed it off again...I tightened the 2 bolts that hold the runner onto the glass as tight as i could, but still came off...any ideas please!!!
I solved it by sillicone sealing the glass to the metal riser
