    hello everyone newbie here, great site, very informative, but I need a wiring diagram for a surf 2.4TD 1992 grey import efi, done the searches and thread reading and saw that Gamedown(Roger) said he has a toyota one for the LN130(october 2004) if he or any one who has one, could get in touch through this site, or by e-mailing me at BLG274@gmail.com that would be great;
    many thanks in advance.
    cheers. Wrench.

      thanx for the prompt reply Silversurfer; yes that helps with one of the problems I have, but I still need the wiring diagrams for under the bonnet, whats on the other side of your attachment?

        What exactly is your electrical problem
        I do not have any wiring diagrams, however after extensivly modding my electrical system I have a bit of an idea of where all the electrons are going
        There are plenty of other guys here and on the Aussie site with in-depth knowledge too.
        Give us a clue as to what you are wanting to do and we'll all see if we can shed some light on the matter

          Simono; to cut a very long story as short as i can, surf belongs to my friend,
          after he blew the engine (threw number 4 con rod out the side) he enlists help from a relative who assured him he would fix it with a second hand engine
          so engine is sourced and all parts that need swapping are swapped engine is thrown in (literally) and then relative cant rewire new engine as he's forgot what went were, and lost parts to connect to ( e.g he stated a connection near the fuel pump should connect to the pump, but there's no connection for it, so instead of sorting it, all he basically says is he cant finish it, without running it) enter me; surf is trailered to me 200 miles, i start on trying to sort it out, connection near pump was for temp sender under manifold; he's missed six electrical connections that i've found, blown four fuses including 80 amp glow plug and left 5 wires hanging near the pump I've managed to sort most of it but it doesn't run well at 2 to 3 thousand revs, smokes exessively, has no power; I've got the diagrams for the vacuum hoses so i can sort those but need the wiring sorted to finish it: cheers, wrench

                Well; it's running and it's passed it's MOT test;
                but it still has no power, pulls fine until the check light comes on and the turbo light goes out;
                checked for codes got more than one so cleared codes (disconnected batteries) roadtested it, but still drove the same;
                checked codes again, number 12 only this time, cleared it again
                re-tried it again, still the same; and same code number 12 stored;
                so can anyone tell me if this can be changed with the pump in place?
                how much are they?
                were can I get one? (other than toyota dealer)
                cheers Wrench

                  code 12 refers to the pump timing valve or it's control;
                  the valve is available from the local diesel specialist (who deals with denso systems) for £194.37 retail (gulp)
                  they said it may be possible to fit it with the pump in situ (but weren't sure)
                  found out how to test the electronics on the pump and that the crank sensor can give rise to code 12.
                  tested pump and crank sensor; electronic wise they all fine; soooo
                  given the history of this surf has anyone got an
                  ECU for a 2L-TE A/T
