OK. noticed a flicker of the dash warning light (Back Door) on Thursday. Friday, went back to the truck to get something out, and thought, hang on, I didn't leave the back window down. No response using the key in the back door. nor switch on centre console - I did remember to check the window lock. Start the engine, and the b***er started bleeping at me from the back.
This beeping continues even with the ignition off, key out, doors locked and me running away. Tried with the kind help of the guy I bought it from to try and hotwire the window motor to at least get the thing secure, but no luck. Please help, and in helping me, remember that I'm not the most electrical/mechanical bloke in the world.

Make absolutely sure that the back door is properly closed as the back window is interlocked to the door latches and will not operate unless the door is fully closed.
Some of the symtoms you describe could be caused by water in the electrics particularly in the L/H rear quarter.
If you have a tow bar fitted the beeping could be from the towing flasher relay that is usually located in the L/H rear quater.
Lots of other possible causes such as wiring between tailgate and rear L/H panel can fray/damage, fuses, relay etc. Do a search on the Forum and there should be plenty of info.
