Everything going fine with my surf, changed all filters myself, had cambelt chnged for £80, and coolant flush and thermostat change next on my DIY list.

Problem I have is front windscreen demister vents not blowing out air. I've selected the correct switch, and the A/C and other fans are blowing out plenty of air. Any ideas?

I don't have a wiring diagram but I know that all of the vents are controlled via actuators which move when you press the buttons.

Check the fuses in the drivers footwell first - could be that easy.

    - Do any of the buttons make the actuators move?
    - If no could point to the fuse

    - If the buttons control the airflow to the feet but dont change the air from the screen to the front vents then I would look at the actuator for this - probably dash out job

Check the fuses first. If this doesn't work and you want to do the dash out go to Codlords site here http://www.showmesome.info/hilux/workshop/dash.htm

If life's an uphill struggle then downhill from now on can't be that bad?!
