  • Japanese designers, don't you just love 'em?

Gawd, just had to change the glow-plug fuse on Katie (my K reg 2.4 injection).

If anyone else has devised a more awkward proceedure for changing a fuse, I've yet to see it.

For those of you who have yet to undertake this job, I recommend removing the offside battery first so that you can unbolt the fuse box and tilt it forward. Then take off the bottom plate of the box and then use a screwdriver on the little clip next to the fuse and slide the unit containing it and it's adjacent fuse out of the bottom of the fusebox to gain access to the bolts holding the fuse in.

I found that the insulating washers on the glow-plug bus bar were incorrectly fitted and so the fuse was blown long before I bought the car last summer. I am incredibly impressed that she has still started on some really cold frosty mornings after only about 3 turns of the key.

You can slide those two fuses out of the botom of the fuse box... so that you can easily get to those blasted nuts...?

Well you learn something every day... I struggled with those nuts for over two hours changing that blasted fuse...
