I used a Glass sucker on mine for a few days if that helps.... you could also use a motor from the doors as I am told that it is the same type and fit? worth a try?

        Clarification

Sorry my post is not very clear...The window is in the up position, with the door closed....If I can open the door it would make life a lot easier. Thanks again...

You need to crawl into the back and pull off the carpeted panel, remove the crosshead screws and take off the metal panel, peel back or remove completly the plastic sheet, and remove the three bolts holding the motor in place. Lift out motor and the glass can be lowered. Support the glass as you lower it all the way down.
You can now open the tailgate.
To close it all up again if you're waiting for a replacement motor, you'll need to crawl back inside and wedge the glass up with a piece of wood.

An 8mm ratchet spanner is ideal for removing the motor bolts as you have to remove them by feel.
