  • Help with shy Temp Gauge !!

The temp gauge needle on my '89 SSR - Limited(2LT) doesnt go past 'C' - in fact it stays to the left side of it and even during running only barely goes to the right side !!

Have checked the wire/plug and shorting to earth puts the needle into the red !

I've changed the sender (one to the nearside of vehicle on thermo housing) and it's still the same - the rad top and thermo housing get warm (not hot - just in case !) but no visable movement of the needle from the left side of 'C'.

Are these a known fault - can they be repaired easily and if not can I get a new one from Toyota ?

If Toyota don't do them - anyone know where I can get a good second hand one from ?

    Cheers

    Kim
