    Hi everyone,
My cats packed up now, lack of power, max torque coming in at 4200rpm instead of 3200rpm. Bhp 125 instead of 150, and boy does it rattle. Can't source one from anywhere anybody got any contacts? I'm in Colwyn Bay, North Wales

Take it off - you only need one for an emissions test. Get a piece of straight pipe mede up in the interim while you source a new cat
    NO WORRIES!

      Check this US site out:

      http://www.autopartsauthority.com/sp...rterparts.html

      They ship international as well.

You may find cheaper if you do a search, but I think US will be the way to go.

        Cat update & jerking

Thanks for the info guys. Been on holiday so couldn't get back to you. Turns out the cat is ok but the new exhaust box had collapsed. They fitted another one under warranty. Do you remember my jerking and lack of power? After going to 2 specialists and new AFM, new fuel pump and supposed new dizzy. Well that has continued untill on holiday when I had time to look at it myself. New plugs were fitted in February and I decided to take the EGR valve out of the loop but it made no difference. Whilst debating further I noticed 3 & 5 plug wires were welded to the EGR downpipe as the garage had left them out of the carrier and they were loose. 25% loss of power!!!!!!. Then checked the timing - SERIOUSLY retarded. Goes like hell now - no jerking plenty of power - well chuffed. Moral. FORGET SOCALLED EXPERTS. Learn about your Surf and do it yourself. Thankx for everyones input over the months
